LEVEL 2 CITY & GUILDS DIPLOMA IN HAIRDRESSING  (3002-61)

INTRODUCTION

This Level 2 Diploma in Hairdressing aims to provide you with a range of essential and practical skills and knowledge, which will equip you to seek employment or further training within the hairdressing Industry.  This is a progression route for learners who have successfully completed the Level 2 Award in Hair and Beauty. The course will develop your skills which will include carrying out services such as; shampooing, conditioning, styling, dressing and setting hair, cutting and colouring. Following successful completion of this qualification, you will be qualified to work in a number of employment destinations such as hairdressing salons, hotels or cruise ships.

This qualification will also allow progression to the Level 3 Hairdressing qualification.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

• 4 GCSE passes with minimum grade E or grade 3 (or equivalent) including English preferable.

• Level 2 Award In Hair and Beauty preferable.

ACADEMIC PROGRESSION

Successful completion of the course offers candidates several routes for progression:

• Progression to City & Guilds Diploma in Woman's Hairdressing

• Progression to other Level 3 qualifications
